We’re not suggesting you shouldn’t use your new table saw, but we want you to make sure you’re using it properly and in a safely manner. Safety equipment is a must when using any power tool. Jewelry and loose fitting clothes should be avoided when using a table saw. As a woodworker, you should always wear appropriate clothing, hearing protection and safety glasses.

Keeping the table and surrounding area clear of excess sawdust, cutoffs and stock is important while using table saws. A cutoff can easily become a projectile if it contacts a moving blade; make sure you keep your workplace clean.

Before any table saw task, it’s crucial to check the safety features of a power tool you’re going to use. Once you’re certain they’re functioning properly, turn your table saw on and do the business!

When you need to change the blade or make any other internal adjustment on your table saw, it’s not enough only to turn the machine on. To eliminate the possibility to inadvertently turn on the saw while being worked on, it’s recommended to disconnect the power to the machine.
