Guzz App – Help is Never Far Away
We live in an era when you can find and do anything online, don’t we? People have started to browse Internet and look YouTube videos when they want to finish certain DIY project, to repair or make something. But, sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you are looking for, especially when you’re desperate to find a solution to your problem.
Luckily, there’s Guzz, a new social network where people can help each other via live video chat. So, if you have a problem in practical matters and you’ll need a real person to talk to, Guzz is there to connect you with someone who’s more tech-savvy than you.
The developers of Guzz came up with this idea when their washing machine broke down and they simply couldn’t find the right tutorial about certain brand among numerous YouTube videos. Unfortunately, they ordered the wrong part. For that reason, they wanted to create a social network that will help people in similar situation.
Currently, Guzz is free of charge, but there will be time when Guzz Gurus are going to monetize their knowledge and willingness to help others. The platform has appeared in Germany first, so at this moment, most of topics offered by Guzz Gurus are in German. Luckily, there are many English-speaking Gurus on Guzz (and counting), so if this platform becomes viral, and I can see no reasons why it shouldn’t, soon enough there will be a lot of information in English too. In fact, as a winner of a startup prize, the creators of Guzz have been invited to the “German Haus” at SXSW in Austin, TX.
This platform supports both cameras on mobile devices, so users are able to show something in their garden/house live. In addition, there’s a white board where you or the person you’re contacting can draw something. Guzz is available for iOS and Android powered devices, as well as for desktop browsers.
