Eco-Friendly Pest Control – Real Green Way to Live

Eco-Friendly Pest Control – Real Green Way to Live

Israeli scientists' green pest controlPests are big menaces in our homes. Despite we try everything to keep them at bay, they return. Besides, they are of so many types – mice, ants, mites, roaches, rats, mosquitoes, house flies, lizards and so many others – the list is perhaps unending. Though not all, most of them are harmful and spread diseases or disease-causing pathogens. But when we plan of eliminating them, we face another problem of the toxicity of the pesticides we use for the purpose. Our family is exposed to risk with these chemicals. But there is good news – Israeli scientists are successful in finding eco-friendly pest control!

The eco-friendly pest control system is effective in dealing with fungi, insects and even agricultural pests. The material from which the pest control has been developed is oil, which is relatively cheap and is not required in high quantities.

A research conducted at the Agricultural Research Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture shows that edible oil can be utilized for pest control. This remarkably lessens the requirement for pesticides and also lessens spraying costs.

An emulsion has been successfully produced from edible oil by Dr. Shmuel Gan-Mor, at the Engineering Institute in the ARA of the ministry of Agriculture. This emulsion is meant for spraying on crops and as a replacement to various types of chemical pesticides. The research has proved that the emulsion is effective in eliminating fungi, insects, mites, powdery mildew, Stemorrhyncha and more.

Safety for the Environment and Family

This solution being made from edible oil, is absolutely safe for the environment and your family, including children and pets. It also stays well at room temperature and don’t need to be added with any preservatives, unlike other pesticides. Because of its high effectiveness, no high quantity is required; moreover, its raw material, edible oil is also cheap. Both ways, it’s much more economical than chemical pesticides.

Orange Peel as a Pesticide

Israeli scientists are studying and have been successful in finding natural substances which can kill pests, without causing damage to environment, humans and pets. For example, a product containing D-Limorene (orange peel extract) destroys the wax coating of the respiratory system of insects, thereby causing insects to smother.

So now, you don’t have to worry about our family’s safety while spraying pesticides and kill pests as effectively as chemical, but poisonous, pesticides. This is the real green way to live!
